Designer I

Role Overview

• Prepares clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detailed drawings from design templates, or from rough or detailed sketches or notes.
• Organizes and maintains project-related information that includes 3D CAD models, CAD drawings, material lists and related documentation.
• Works closely with Sales, Project Engineering and Project Management to ensure all designs are per project specifications and schedule.
• Prepares drawings required for Customer approval, material procurement and for fabrication.
• Reviews drawings of peers to assure accuracy and best design practices.
• Assists the Engineering team in issuing project documents to the customer, fabricators, etc.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Computer Aided Design or related degree; preferred.
• Ability to calculate lengths, distances, angles, areas, volumes is required.
• 3D modeling experience is required.
• Strong computer skills desired.
