About this role
Role Overview
- Assist the pharmacist in the provision of pharmaceutical care
- Prepare and label chemotherapy drugs for administration
- Fill and deliver Omnicell restock lists
- Enter and process new prescriptions and refills
- Perform miscellaneous billing functions
- Perform monthly inspection of assigned nursing units for expired drugs
- Prepare IV products using aseptic technique
Requirements
- Certified Pharmacy Technician not required
- Student Pharmacist or Licensed before 1/1/2008
- Exempt/Not Required
- Certified Pharmacy Technician within 2 years of license issue date (IL)
- Varies
- Licensed Pharmacy Technician within 60 days of license application
