Role Overview
- Manages the implementation of human resources policies, procedures, and strategies
- Develops and administers local HR policies and programs
- Partners with operations leaders and managers at all levels on HR matters
- Manages the full employee lifecycle
- Establishes and maintains a visible, positive presence among team members
- Actively participates in arbitrations, grievance handling, and contract negotiations
- Ensures employee relations issues are addressed proactively
- Keeps up-to-date with current trends related to HR
Requirements
- A combination of education and work experience totaling more than 5 years
- 2–4 years of experience leading a team of professionals required
- 5–7 years of experience in human resources required
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field may count for three of the five required years
- An MBA or master’s degree may count for two of the five required years
- 3–5 years of experience in hospitality, food & beverage, and/or retail preferred
- SHRM-SCP or HRCI-SPHR certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of HR functions: recruitment, employee relations, training and development, benefits, etc.
- Ability to read and understand correspondence, policies, and legal documents
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems/software (HRIS)
