About this role

Ensure financial services regulation activities are compliant with applicable laws and regulations
Provide legal advice on regulatory affairs and risk management
Support legal department in representing the bank in legal proceedings
Review legislation and create legal documents to ensure compliance
Conduct legal research on changes in laws and regulations
Develop and deliver training on legal and regulatory requirements
Identify and communicate legal advice on applicable laws and regulations

Senior qualified lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or equivalent)
Relevant post-qualification experience in financial services, regulation, and commercial contracts
Technical knowledge of and experience working on English law contracts or equivalent
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
Experience supporting, supervising or developing other colleagues
Understanding of DLT/blockchain systems
Awareness of Barclays and its operational and strategic objectives
Demonstrable experience of identifying improvements in processes and ways of working
