Act as a trusted strategic advisor and business partner to the Country Managing Director, supporting decision–making, performance management and long–term value creation.
Represent Finance at country level and serve as the senior finance interface towards the global CFO organization.
Combine strategic oversight with hands–on ownership, remaining closely involved in key financial topics, prioritization, and critical decisions.
Ensure full compliance with Belgian and Dutch GAAP, as well as all local statutory, tax, legal and fiduciary requirements, in close collaboration with CSS and Finance & Planning CoEs.
Serve as a member of the Board of Directors, contributing actively to sound corporate governance and fiduciary oversight.
Support corporate and global functions in the development and execution of financial and tax strategies, including M&A activities, due diligence and negotiations at country level.
Lead and maintain effective relationships with external auditors, authorities and key external stakeholders, representing Hitachi Energy in the local business environment.
Build strong, trust–based relationships with key customers at senior level, contributing to sustainable, long–term partnerships.
Drive finance transformation initiatives and contribute to the development of a strong, credible and business–oriented local finance organization.
Lead, coach and inspire finance teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Take ownership of local, regional and global projects, driving them end–to–end in alignment with Hitachi Energy priorities.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
Proven senior finance leadership experience within a large international and matrix organization.
Solid experience as Country Finance Manager or Finance Director for a mid– to large–size organization, ideally in Belgium and/or the Netherlands.
Strong knowledge of Belgian and Dutch GAAP, as well as local statutory, tax and fiduciary regulations.
A genuine business partner mindset, with the ability to challenge, influence and support senior management decisions.
Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands–on, pragmatic execution when required.
Strong people leadership skills, with a track record of building, developing and engaging high–performing teams.
Excellent internal communication skills as a leader, able to clearly convey financial insights, priorities and decisions within the local organization.
Confident and credible communicator towards senior internal stakeholders and external partners (customers, authorities, auditors).
Fluency in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
Self–driven, resilient and well–organized, able to manage complexity and ambiguity effectively.
