Role Overview
- Manage assigned Canadian strategic account relationships
- Work with area management to set account strategies
- Execute day-to-day operations as part of the Canadian sales team
- Develop and implement a territory sales plan
- Segment and plan customer interactions
- Work with retail customers to develop account plans
- Communicate market trends to the commercial leadership team
- Establish and grow retail-level relationships
- Prepare and deliver effective presentations
- Implement the Counselor Sales approach
- Maintain accurate retail level forecasting
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Manage interface between customer and FMC organization
- Monitor competitor activity and formulate response strategies
- Implement sales strategies for regional distributor accounts
- Ensure sales objectives are met and aligned with financial objectives
- Manage expenses to achieve ROI
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in Western Canadian agriculture
- Experience in successful customer relationship management
- Strong business acumen and leadership skills
- Detail oriented, results focused, and a self-starter with strong follow up skills
- Strong presentations, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated performance in delivering sales results
- Problem solving aptitude and providing solutions for customers
- Strong financial background an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Well-developed organizational and planning skills
- CCA, P.Ag or similar designation an asset
