Compliance Manager

Role Overview

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance monitoring programs tailored to the transportation and warehousing sector.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
• Lead and manage internal investigations related to compliance breaches or concerns, ensuring thorough documentation and resolution.
• Coordinate and perform internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance controls and processes.
• Design and oversee corrective action plans to address identified compliance issues and prevent recurrence.
• Prepare detailed reports and communicate findings to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance policies, procedures, and regulatory changes.
• Stay current with evolving laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance management, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.
• Proven experience conducting internal audits and investigations.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to transportation and warehousing operations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively convey compliance information across all organizational levels.
• Certification in Compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional
• CCEP) or Internal Auditing (e.g., Certified Internal Auditor
• CIA) preferred.
• Experience with corrective action plan development and implementation.
• Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and tools specific to transportation and warehousing.
• Advanced knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to implement compliance initiatives.
