About this role

Reports to the Accounts Receivable Manager and ensures accounting for loan receivable balance is in accordance with GAAP
Designs and executes financial controls and reporting to ensure timely payments and loan adjustments
Develops and implements internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets
Processes payments (checks, ACH, credit card, wire transfers) and applies them to customer accounts
Reconciles customer accounts, investigates discrepancies, and resolves billing issues
Identifies opportunities for automation and operational process improvement
Partners with Legal, Compliance and Account Servicing teams on error remediation
Works with external auditors on financial statement and SOC 1 audit

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, or commensurate work experience required
CPA preferred
4 years of progressive experience in accounting or 3 years of public account experience required
Experience and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP required
Financial industry experience preferred
Attention to detail and accuracy required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite
Proficiency in working with large data sets, preferred
Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment
