Collaborates with organization leaders to coordinate and lead the assessment, design, and implementation of operational processes and lean management routines
Performs performance monitoring and makes recommendations for data driven decision-making
Assists with analysis to target areas of improvement and monitors sustainability of improvement efforts
Works collaboratively with clinical and operational leaders to assess workflows, data, scenarios and other factors to identify improvement efforts that will enhance clinic and operational
Assists with data collection, observations, research and analysis of clinic outcomes, financial and operational performance, and business planning for identification, design and implementation of improvements
Conducts regular Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action Planning alongside leaders using the knowledge of process variation analysis, population health metrics and operations research techniques
Develops workflow assessments, gap analyses, recommendations and proposals to drive and sustain positive change
Maintains a working knowledge of operations, identifying top performers and helping disseminate and share best practices
Develops and maintains operation labor models, using operations research and industrial engineering techniques
Balances costs savings associated with operational flexibility against labor cost
Assists in the development and sustainment of operational, clinical, health plan and network value performance management systems to monitor improvements sustainability and effectiveness
Coaches front line staff and managers to ensure adherence to and integrity of the performance management systems
Participates and/or leads high performance teams including stakeholders and peers to assess, design and implement improvement efforts
Facilitates change efforts in close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure appropriate application of change and execution methodologies
Coordinates with clinical and operational leaders to oversee or support implementation of process design, process improvements, technology improvements, work standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required
Significant experience, typically gained through two to four years relevant work experience
Must possess the ability to apply quantitative and qualitative process improvement techniques and perform advanced data analysis
Must be proficient with one or more operating systems, spreadsheets, database managers, presentations programs, and word processors
Must demonstrate a record of leadership with effective communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills as well as ability to identify and meet customer needs in a team environment
Requires effective negotiation capabilities and ability lead in a highly matrixed environment.
Experience in Healthcare preferred.
Industrial Engineering Degree or a degree in a quantitative, engineering, business or healthcare related field with a Black Belt in Lean/Six Sigma.
Experience participating in Lead/Six Sigma transformation or with population health or insurance operations.
Demonstrated working knowledge in Process Design or Process Improvement tools.
