Prepare and review accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports on a monthly basis to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
Oversee the general accounting processes, inter-company transactions, accounting and financial reporting for all entities
Ensure GST/ VAT/ WHT and corporate tax submissions are done diligently and on timely basis
Manage statutory audits under the local GAAP and IFRS
Responsible for internal audit, controls, process improvements, AI transformation
Coordinate with outsourced accounting and finance partners across multiple jurisdictions
Oversee payment processing and financial controls and vendor management
Assist with investor reporting, group consolidation, management analysis, and ad-hoc financial queries from leadership
Manage accounting system administration and document finance processes
Requirements
Qualified Chartered Accountant with good understanding of accounting standards and taxation in South East Asia
10 -15 years of work experience preferably in Technology companies, with at least 3 years as a People Manager
Experience in a start-up environment would be preferred
Experience with a Big 4 in their Assurance and Accounting Advisory practice would be advantageous
Must have working knowledge of international accounting standards like IFRS & group consolidation (Singapore)
Ability to coordinate and communicate with diverse team members from multiple locations
Ability to multi-task and have eye for detail
Ability to manage external service providers, coordinate across multiple stakeholders and time zones, and deliver accurate work under tight deadlines
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently in remote settings.
