Lead the operational accounting team responsible for accounting activities across Intersect's energy portfolio.

Oversee general ledger activities to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial information.
Partner across functions to support organizational goals and improve financial transparency.
Consolidate and optimize month-end close processes to enable faster, more accurate reporting.
Perform and support internal control activities to strengthen financial reporting and compliance.
Evaluate accounting processes, workflows, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement.
Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP and emerging accounting standards.
Maintain and enhance accounting policies and procedures to support effective internal controls over financial reporting.
Assist with annual audit activities and serve as a key partner to external auditors.
Help drive consistent application of accounting policies across the organization.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5–7+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in Big Four public accounting audit.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, technical accounting research, and financial reporting requirements.
Experience supporting SOX compliance and internal control environments.
Proven ability to evaluate complex accounting issues, develop recommendations, and document conclusions effectively.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
Proficiency with Google Workspace and intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIF functions.
Preferred Qualifications
CPA and/or Master's degree in Accounting.
Experience with Sage Intacct.
Experience in the energy, infrastructure, or power generation industry.
Demonstrated ability to apply technical accounting guidance to complex business transactions.
Collaborative, detail-oriented, and adaptable approach to problem solving.
