assist lawyers engaged in IP disputes and litigation
knowledge of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods relating to infringement of IP rights
read and understand technical papers, including patents, copyrights, and trademark secrets
assist with trial preparation, by drafting and organizing required documents and files
efficiently manage document files including correspondence, court papers, case records, and materials produced in the discovery process
ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines
e-filing motions and other pleadings, including after-hours filings
understanding of court rules and filing requirements
experience gathering patent documents from the USPTO databases and researching technical references
online substantive research, filing, and other administrative duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant patent paralegal experience
In lieu of bachelor’s degree, 9 years of relevant patent paralegal experience
Understanding of litigation procedures and patent-related procedures, including IPRs and PGRs
Knowledge of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office post-grant filing procedure
Experience managing large volume portfolios
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong judgement, initiative, integrity and be a dependable, highly motivated, team player
Flexibility to operate independently and in a team atmosphere with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism
Ability to work overtime when required
