Perform design and engineering of parts or assemblies according to customer requests and client/industry standards;
Modify or perform 3D modeling of parts or assemblies;
Prepare and interpret drawings, plans and technical specifications for various parts or assemblies;
Revise and incorporate changes into technical drawings;
Standardize 3D models and drawings according to customer and industry standards;
Analyze submitted change requests;
Research technical specification documentation when not provided by the customer;
Perform root cause analysis and resolve issues;
Provide technical support to production and engineering teams;
Write quality procedures;
Verify assembly documentation;
Conduct research and development activities;
Share technical knowledge with team members;
Assist with proposals and bid submissions;
Assist with workload planning;
Understand the AS 9100 standard requirements related to the responsibilities of this position;
Comply with the company's QMS procedures and apply the relevant tools while performing tasks.
Requirements
5 to 8 years of relevant professional experience;
DEC (Diploma of College Studies) in Aeronautical Construction or Mechanical Engineering;
Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing sector is an asset;
Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint);
Proficient in First Article Inspection processes;
Proficient with design and modeling software (CATIA V5 and 3DVia);
Proficient with an MRP (Material Resource Planning) system such as SAP or BaaN;
Knowledge of Mentor Graphics or CorelDRAW is an asset;
Knowledge of design tools (AutoCAD, SmarTeam, Enovia and MBOM) is an asset;
Bilingual: French and English, written and spoken.
