About this role
Role Overview
- Provide ongoing consultation and coaching to teachers in partner child development centers (CDCs)
- Support center directors to develop teacher support systems and skills
- Work closely with the Director, Pre-K Innovation Partnership to identify program needs
- Develop and execute an instructional support plan for PKP teachers and their students
- Assist with curriculum and assessment support, coaching on evidence-based instructional strategies
- Coordinate with community organizations to deliver quality training and resources to partner CDCs
- Develop coaching cycles and professional learning opportunities that meet center needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- EC-6 Texas Teaching Certification required
- At least 3-4 years of early childhood classroom teaching experience
- At least 2 years of experience in instructional coaching
- Experience working in child development centers preferred
- Familiarity with Teaching Strategies GOLD, CLASS, high-quality curricula, and frameworks
- An ability to organize and conduct trainings effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with a diverse set of stakeholders
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
