As part of the Civil Law Service for Aboriginal Communities (CLSAC), you’ll join a purpose driven, statewide team committed to improving access to justice for Aboriginal people across regional and remote NSW.
Working within a multidisciplinary team comprised of solicitors, a social worker, community engagement manager, and a financial counsellor, you’ll be part of a collaborative and highly respected team spanning Central Sydney, Lismore, Orange and Nowra.
In these roles, you’ll deliver outreach services to Aboriginal communities, building strong community connections while providing high-quality legal advice, minor assistance and casework across a broad range of civil law matters.
You’ll be supported by experienced senior solicitors, with access to ongoing supervision and professional development.
Requirements
Applicants for this role must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
Hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency.
Undertake relevant pre-employment checks such as Working with Children Check, Criminal Record Check and Conduct Service Check.
Possess legal qualification/s.
Be admitted or eligible for admission as a legal practitioner in NSW.
Provide a current NSW Practising Certificate before you start work with us.
Be willing to travel to regional and metropolitan offices as required.
