Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to scope net-new integrations and significant enhancements.
Review vendor documentation to understand:
o API patterns (REST, streaming, etc.)
o Authentication and refresh logic
o Rate limits, pagination, and data volumes
o Incremental vs full-pull endpoints
o Data types, transformations, and modelling considerations
Prepare structured question sets for vendor calls to validate assumptions and uncover gaps.
Collaborate with Engineering and Architecture on feasibility, trade-offs, and technical approach.
Lead use case definition
Partner with Product, GTM teams, and our clients to ensure use cases are a first-class input into integration work — not just lists of fields.
Help clients and internal teams articulate:
o What problems they are trying to solve
o How the data will be used
o What “success” looks like
Translate those outcomes into clear requirements that Engineering can build against.
Produce high-quality requirements & documentation
Write clear, structured product requirements documents that include:
o Defined use cases and assumptions
o In-scope vs out-of-scope functionality
o Data entities, fields, and relationships
o Known limitations and risks
Ensure documentation quality is consistent and usable, working with Product and Engineering to iterate where needed.
Support integration migrations & rebuilds
Contribute to requirements and discovery for:
o Integration upgrades (e.g. API version changes, auth updates)
o Rebuilds driven by platform evolution or reliability needs
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Delivery to ensure continuity for clients and clear expectations during change.
Help improve the integration “system” over time
Contribute to the development of:
o An integration scoping runbook
o Intake templates and discovery checklists
o Example “gold standard” PRDs
Support the introduction of integration complexity tiers to help set expectations on scope, timelines, and effort.
Share learnings and patterns to help other BAs and PMs improve integration discovery and scoping.
Requirements

Has strong discovery skills and can turn ambiguous inputs into structured requirements.
Writes clear, thoughtful documentation that others trust.
Enjoys collaboration and shared ownership rather than operating in isolation.
Nice to have
Experience with data platforms, CDPs, CRM, or analytics tooling.
Experience working with third party vendors in the sports industry and their data (ticketing, food and beverage, merchandise, etc).
