Lead the gathering, analysis, and documentation of business requirements with a focus on platform solutions and capabilities
Author user stories and work with Technical Developers to groom, refine and prioritize into logical components based on estimates and time available
Define and document business rules, and decision logic to support automated processes
Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of IDP, workflow and automation
Evaluate existing processes and recommend enhancements, optimizations, and new automation opportunities
Conduct impact assessments & risk analysis for new automation opportunities
Support governance, compliance, and audit requirements for intake and workflow
Participate in Scrum ceremonies, lead user acceptance testing and business exploration of new solutions, support change acceptance, and support training & change management
Facilitate both remote and in-person working sessions with key stakeholders
Lead your work independently, creating project plans for your activities, communicating and meeting due dates
Collaborate and provide guidance to other Business Analysts.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in business analysis, IDP, workflow and business rule automation, process improvement, or related roles
Strong expertise in requirements gathering, business process modeling, and stakeholder management
Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, working with incomplete information to drive clarity and actionable next steps
Experience in financial services, insurance or investments is an asset
Proficiency in business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently in agile environments
Experience in rules harvesting, rules authoring, decision automation, business rules management systems, and rules-based decisioning frameworks is an asset
Financial services, insurance business or investments knowledge is an asset.
