Role Overview
- Provide guidance and assistance to the work group to meet assigned objectives
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on electrical distribution equipment
- Be responsible for hands-on execution of projects including Startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment
- Lead outages with other field engineers, technicians, and contractors
- Perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheet, and expense sheets
- Plan, prepare, and/or instruct both internal and external training programs as required
Requirements
- High School Diploma and 6 years of related engineering / field experience
- Ability and willingness to travel up to an estimated 75% of the time
- Experience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers is preferred
- Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting of medium voltage synchronous machines are preferred
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
