Responsible for torque converter system and components development, technical support on manufacturing and testing
Closely work with machine team to understand voice of customer/VOC, define technical specification, prepare and evaluate design concepts, complete feasibility studies of complex engineering projects
Develop Creo 3D/2D models, perform analysis/simulation, follow and update designs through build, test and validation processes
Collaborate with global operations, purchasing and the supply base to meet product and design cost targets
Utilize key product development processes such as Advanced Product Quality Planning/APQP, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis/FMEA, etc. inherent in New Product Introduction/NPI, Continuous Product Improvement/CPI, cost reduction projects
Lead system and component design review meeting
Work with cross functional teams to support parts development, supplier process and quality control
Support/Follow up process optimize, audit, trouble shooting and improvement on current production products
Lead/Support/Follow up related NPI,CPI, cost reduction projects, delivery solutions
Develop project plan and implement accordingly
Requirements
Requires Master or above degree in an accredited Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Material Science
3+ years of drivetrain (transmission, gearbox, axle, TC…) or relevant component/system (gears, shafts, forgings, castings…) design/manufacture/testing experience
Transmission control system, performance analysis experiences
Familiar with mechanical assembly/manufacturing process
Electric drive design and development experience
Familiar with quality management process and tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA….);
Skilled use at Creo (3D modeling and 2D drawing)
Good knowledge of Geometry Dimensioning & Tolerance
Fluent in English (reading, listening, writing and speaking)
