About this role
Role Overview
Support health plans commercial employer business through all aspects of the sales process
Partner with assigned client to assist in their overall medical & pharmacy sales strategy
Engage local brokers, consultants, and prospective clients
Develop overall sales strategy with sales and pharmacy executives at health plan client
Gather, analyze, and disseminate market competitive intelligence
Day-to-day contact to support overall strategy and initiatives
Daily engagement with health plan medical/pharmacy & sales executives
Build and maintain strong broker/consultant relationships
Create and execute action plan for each opportunity
Manage pharmacy sales bid process including kick off meeting, bid responses, and overall RFP evaluation
Conduct analysis for key opportunities
Assist with finalist preparation and participation
Review and deliver Rx reporting package discussing trend drivers and recommended solutions
Maintain complete knowledge of the Health Plan contract
Track/Analyze Sales Force documentation of meetings and opportunities
Requirements
BA/BS or equivalent experience
Knowledge of healthcare consulting industry dynamics
Medical network evaluations and analysis
Knowledge of the TPA medical model
Superior analytical and problem solving skills
10+ years of sales/business development experience
Strong presentation skills
Experience communicating with VP and C-level contacts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tool
Ability to compile, analyze, and report on common sales metrics
Detail oriented and organized
Strategic business decision-making experience
Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office and Excel
Knowledge of the healthcare and PBM industry required
Strong focus on book of business client satisfaction and client retention results
Demonstrated strong project management ability
Ability to travel overnight up to 15%.
