Design, implementation and operation of scalable, highly available PostgreSQL or Oracle platforms for modern data and analytics use cases
Planning and execution of complex database migrations, e.g., from on-premises to cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP), between hyperscalers, or from legacy systems to PostgreSQL platforms
Automating the entire database lifecycle (IaC, GitOps, CI/CD) in line with a "Database as a Service" approach
Technical leadership role focusing on observability, reliability, governance, and best practices across teams

University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related technical field, or equivalent relevant professional experience
Deep, several years of experience in PostgreSQL or Oracle platform engineering and advanced database architectures
Strong understanding of query planning, index strategies, partitioning, replication, and high-availability setups
Strong skills in automation and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible) and experience with GitOps and CI/CD approaches for databases
Willingness to travel for project-related business trips and fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
