About this role
Role Overview
Independently acquire new customers in the retail environment with a focus on innovative cash-management solutions and newly developed software products
Actively develop the market and strategically expand business activities, including in segments such as fashion stores, pharmacies, and food & beverage
Targeted engagement and development of customers in these segments with a clear focus on generating and successfully closing new business
End-to-end responsibility for the entire sales cycle — from identifying relevant target customers, initial outreach and needs analysis, to solution presentation, proposal negotiation, and contract closing
Build, maintain, and continuously develop a robust sales pipeline to sustainably achieve sales targets
Position the company as an innovative solutions provider for modern retail processes and operational efficiency improvements in the cash cycle
Close collaboration with internal teams such as presales, service, and management to successfully implement customer-specific requirements
Continuous market and competitor monitoring and proactive identification of new business opportunities in the German retail market
Strategically expand existing customer relationships and identify additional cross
and upselling opportunities within the installed base
The role requires willingness to travel within Germany of up to 60%
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a commercial apprenticeship with professional experience in sales or business development
At least 5 years of proven sales experience in active new customer acquisition, ideally in a B2B environment with technically/consultative or complex products/solutions
Good knowledge of the German retail market, preferably in the segments of fashion, food & beverage, and quick-service restaurants
Strong hunter/challenger mentality with high self-motivation, proven closing strength, and a clear willingness to actively open new markets and acquire customers
Experience selling cash-management solutions and a solid understanding of retail processes and operational customer requirements
Excellent German language skills (C2) and good English skills (B2)
Confident and professional presence at decision-maker level, combined with strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Strong commercial/entrepreneurial mindset coupled with an independent, results-oriented working style and high quality standards
Proficient use of CRM systems and a data-driven approach to work
Team-oriented personality with a pronounced hands-on mentality and strong customer focus
