You will act as an intermediary between the funds and their investment managers and serve as the official record keeper for the funds
You will train and supervise the accounting analysts on the team
Your skills in accounting will be used by pricing and maintaining timely records for hedge and private equity holdings using various external pricing resources
You will perform timely reconciliations regarding Net Asset Values and provide accounting reports
You are responsible to communicate the transactions associated with the fund(s) and work closely with internal and external clients to provide accurate and thorough accounting packages
You will be involved in the coordination and support of various year-end audit engagements in accordance with GAAP accounting standards
Perform due-diligence to ensure clients are in compliance with government laws and regulations
Assist in managing a team environment that encourages self-motivation, organization and drive to complete multiple client deliverables in a timely manner without sacrificing excellence or quality
Correspond with external investment managers regarding day-to-day fund inquiries including reconciliations, coordinating scheduled deliverables, and escalation concerns
Assist the manager with conducting performance appraisals, monthly one-on-ones with the team analysts and provide career pathing and training
Ensure staffing requirements are met by participating in analyst interviews
Team with the manager to provide and foster a team environment to include individual development, promotions and disciplinary action
Requirements
BA / BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 2 years experience in the fund services industry, alternatives experience preferred
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
