E*TRADE from Morgan Stanley is seeking an Executive Director to join their Investment Management Finance Product Control Team. This role involves leading Product Control and managing end-to-end Investment Management disclosures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing the control environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the accounting for carried interest revenue recognition and support the forecasting process within the Investment Accounting team
- Own end-to-end Investment Management external disclosures, including SEC filings (10‑Q, 10‑K) and Federal Reserve reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with US GAAP and regulatory expectations
- Drive modernization of the IM Finance controllership function through process standardization, automation, and enhanced data governance, improving control effectiveness and reporting scalability
- Strengthen the control environment, including oversight of SOX, CILAs, and EUCs, ensuring robust governance, clear accountability, and audit-ready documentation
- Partner closely with External Reporting, Regulatory Relations, Accounting Policy, and Legal Entity Controllers to ensure alignment and consistency across financial reporting
- Serve as a senior point of contact for External Audit, Internal Audit, and regulatory stakeholders, providing clear and concise communication on financial reporting and control matters
- Lead cross-functional initiatives across Investment Management Finance, Operations, Legal, and Compliance to align on complex accounting, reporting, and control frameworks
Requirements:
- 12+ years of related work experience in Financial services industry (Investment Management industry preferred)
- Strong financial products knowledge and related US GAAP accounting requirements
- Results-oriented with capacity and desire to work both at a strategic and detailed analysis level
- Able to synthesize and articulate results to a diverse audience (i.e. product control, business managers, business heads, CFO)
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally on various projects and new initiatives
- Effective time management and ability to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure situations, and balance multiple tasks
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Ambitious, self-motivated individual, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Bank regulatory reporting experience a plus
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and crafting compelling data-driven reporting (PowerBI, Alteryx and IBM Cognos/TM1) and commentary utilizing Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment
- Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback
- CPA Preferred
