Pharmacy Technician Trainee

Role Overview

• Under supervision, responsible for performing supportive functions in the pharmacy department.
• Assists the pharmacist in providing effective, appropriate, and safe pharmacy services.
• Maintains appropriate records up-to-date.
• Processes patient-specific medication pursuant to a provider’s prescription order, ensuring timely and accurate preparation.
• Conducts interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors, physicians, and fellow employees in a courteous manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or must be currently enrolled in high school and be at least 16 years of age.
• Must provide proof of current enrollment and a letter of recommendation from the school.
• Must be registered with the Board of Pharmacy after completing 500 hours of employment under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
