Role Overview
- Prepare and review sales and use tax returns and filings across multiple jurisdictions
- Support sales and use tax compliance and consulting engagements, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
- Assist with nexus determinations, taxability analysis, and transaction-level reviews
- Conduct multistate tax research to support filing positions, audit responses, and client guidance
- Support state tax controversy matters, including audits, notices, and inquiries
- Assist with tax technology initiatives, including tax engine implementation, optimization, and data validation
- Learn and utilize cutting-edge technology to provide timely, accurate, and efficient client service
- Develop tools and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy in the compliance process
- Make recommendations on business and process improvements related to sales and use tax filings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of State & Local Tax experience, with a focus on sales and use tax
- CPA, EA, or ability to pursue relevant certification (including CPA, EA, or JD/Tax Attorney pathway)
- Experience with multistate tax compliance, research, and indirect tax concepts
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
