Research and obtain up-to-date information about potential clients from trade associations, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, foreign trade statistics (LOGCOMEX and DATALINE), trade fairs, symposia and lectures;
Identify, approach, register, visit potential clients and present the product portfolio and the best cost and service options;
Explore every business opportunity within each prospect/client in their segment;
Share with the Sales Support team all actions before, during and after securing each prospect;
Win, quote and close sales; inform the client profile and introduce the client to the company personnel involved in their operation;
Ensure the client receives the best service before, during and after each experience using the company's products;
Gradually increase the range of products offered and expand relationship scope within each client;
Introduce products and their responsible contacts to strengthen personal and commercial ties, building trust between the parties involved;
Enter relevant client information into the system;
Evaluate client satisfaction and the satisfaction of the employees who serve them to identify opportunities for process improvements;
Be willing to listen to the client and seek the best solution to resolve issues when they arise, interacting with staff from the departments involved;
Ensure excellent service and win-win negotiations with the client; pursue satisfaction and build loyalty with each new business opportunity or product;
Propose, when necessary, spot negotiations, long-term contracts, and per diem demurrage rates to help reduce clients' operating costs;
Assist departments with collections and outstanding issues with clients;
Continuously monitor changes in freight and demurrage, per diem negotiations, traffic and routes as informed by Pricing, Management, the Board or Agents;
Seek and exchange information with the team about competitors and the market;
Maintain relationships with carriers to obtain updates or changes to their routes and/or competitors';
Send sales leads to our overseas agents;
Respond to cost estimate requests, contact agents' sales leads and reply as quickly as possible;
Provide support to departments in client communications when needed;
Negotiate with clients to change Incoterms modalities to favor closing deals in Brazil;
Strengthen commercial and personal relationships with clients, retaining them with new products;
Turn clients into advocates for the Group's services and customer service initiatives.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience: Approximately 1 year in the role preferred
Language: English proficiency preferred
Preferred experience with NVOCC companies
Preferred experience with Freight Forwarder companies
Preferred knowledge of CargoWise
Basic knowledge of maritime, air and road operations preferred
Preferred experience in international logistics, foreign trade or freight forwarding agencies
Preferred experience with international cargo agency
