You are responsible for the development of large-scale battery storage (BESS) projects in Germany.
In this role, you structure and prioritize projects and drive them to completion.
At the interface of market, engineering, regulation and finance, you ensure that concepts become realized projects.
Overall project responsibility — coordination across all phases up to the final investment decision and handover to Asset Management.
Close collaboration with stakeholders — grid operators, authorities, landowners, municipalities and internal teams such as Commercial, Engineering and Investment.
Contractual and structuring responsibility — structuring and negotiating key project contracts.
Budget, schedule and resource control — ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines, and coordinating external service providers.
Ensuring feasibility — regulatory, technical and economic.
Management reporting & approvals — preparation of decision documents and management of internal approval processes.
Requirements
Completed degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or a comparable field.
Several years of experience (at least 3 years) in leading projects, ideally in renewable energy or infrastructure projects in a comparable role, for example at a project developer, investment/asset manager, management consultancy, investment bank or private equity.
Solid understanding of regulatory and grid-related requirements.
Entrepreneurial mindset, ownership mentality and a hands-on approach ("make it work").
Negotiation-level German and English (business fluent).
