CARE Specialist

Role Overview

• Engage with patients, helping them navigate healthcare complexities
• Assist in pricing for high-cost medications
• Ensure CARE savings strategies navigate the health care system
• Research specialty drug cost savings for members and clients
• Monitor performance of high dollar specialty claims
• Help triage escalated, high-touch member claims issues
• Perform outbound communication and proactive outreach to members
• Research available assistance programs for specialty medications
• Communicate with provider offices regarding specialty medication therapies

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a certified pharmacy technician in a pharmacy setting
• 2+ years of specialty medication knowledge
• 2+ years of experience with manufacturer copay assistance, foundational assistance and patient assistance programs
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time within the United States
