Create and lead a unified internal and external communications strategy for Honeywell Building Automation in Europe.
Drive BA Europe’s internal communications strategy, including direct support to the BA Europe President.
Lead communications support for all BA leadership team members based in Europe.
Develop and deploy new, innovative tactics in support of delivering compelling messaging to employees across the business.
Develop regional media programs that are strongly linked to business strategy, regional industry trends and performance requirements.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key reporters/media and manage media inquiries and interview requests in the region.
Support major initiatives, organization transitions, leadership changes, and other transformation steps across Building Automation in Europe through innovative and effective communication plans that address the needs of varied audiences and stakeholders.
Requirements
12-15 years of B2B communications experience is preferred, including senior level work in large, complex international companies.
Excellent project management and the ability to simultaneously prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Strong business acumen and partnering, consulting and influencing skills with the ability to build and navigate relationships at all levels of the organization, particularly at the executive level.
Self-starter with ability to thrive in a matrix organizational structure where priorities can shift quickly.
Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to present effectively to senior management.
Strong (AP style) writing skills, with the ability to develop clear, concise messages that align closely with corporate messaging.
Ability to identify issues proactively and execute actions to eliminate or minimize their potential impact.
Develop relationships with reporters/media, pitch news stories/ideas, manage journalist inquiries and serve as a media spokesperson.
Intimate understanding of social media, especially LinkedIn, and an advanced understanding of how best to leverage channels such as Viva Engage to promote employee engagement.
