Law Intern – Litigation

Role Overview

• Drafting low-complexity litigation documents under supervision (e.g., simple petitions, filing requests, deadline extension requests).
• Issuing court fee payment slips and monitoring payments.
• Updating internal systems (e.g., CPJ or other legal software).
• Case tracking across different courts and systems (monitoring case progress, filing publications, managing deadlines).
• Liaising with courts, registries, and administrative bodies for simple diligences and information requests.
• Preparing internal and client-facing reports and legal opinions (e.g., case status updates, information consolidation).
• Conducting doctrinal and case law research to support legal documents and opinions.
• Participating in internal and external meetings, when requested.
• Assisting with organization of physical and digital documents.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in law school up to the 8th semester.
• Experience in Corporate Law, Civil Law, and Civil Procedure.
• Practical knowledge of major electronic court systems: PJe, e-SAJ, Projudi, E-proc, among others.
• Familiarity with registry office procedures and procedural deadlines.
• Basic proficiency in MS Word and Excel (formatting pleadings, control spreadsheets, simple charts).
• Ability to research case law and doctrinal sources (STJ, STF, State Courts, Federal Regional Courts, legal websites).
