Prepares, organizes, and maintains accurate, updated information in multiple electronic databases reflecting the entire history of a program participant including log of supportive services issued
Provides case management with a focus on helping SNAP E&T participants to prepare for employment that leads to self-sufficiency
Manages ongoing caseload and assists job seekers in retaining employment based on their skills, capabilities, and interests
Manage job seeker progress towards achieving goals by creating and updating plans
Schedule and conduct workshops, webinars, and other Job Readiness activities designed to prepare SNAP E&T participants for career opportunities
Coordinate with the Business Services team with online learning activities related to individual employment plans and goals, and monitors progress
Administer Pre/Post-test assessments
Conduct assessment of skills, aptitudes and abilities
Research and identify and deliver appropriate job coaching, mentorship, and support services as needed to help SNAP E&T participants overcome barriers
Ensure adequate preparation for all training activities
Interpret employer feedback to tailor case management and job coaching as needed
Work with the Business Services team to collaborate with area businesses, advisory groups, and agencies to encourage the further development of opportunities
Investigate and share ideas regarding post-secondary options and adult services and network with all appropriate community agencies and organizations
Develop rapport with SNAP E&T participants in order to mutually explore career options and interests
Encourage SNAP E&T participants to maintain career portfolios allowing them to document their learning and skill attainment
Work with SNAP E&T participants individually or in groups to problem solve employment issues
Perform other duties as requested
Requirements
Associate’s degree in related field and minimum two year’s work experience in related field, or a satisfactory equivalent of education and experience (Social Services, Human Resource, Communication, Business or equivalent experience)
High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years of related experience may be considered
Strong in facilitation, public speaking, and guided learning
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to lead learning processes and relate to diverse populations
Excellent internal and external customer service skills
Strong communication and knowledge about community resources and industries in the area is a plus
Excellent computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office, MS Word, Excel, and specialized databases and systems
Bilingual is a plus
Current valid driver’s license (with low-risk driver rating) and automobile liability insurance required
