Assist the Vice President, Origination and other team members with the development and marketing of offtake products and strategies, working closely with internal resources and current and potential customers to support Treaty Oak’s development, M&A, and market development/expansion goals and initiatives
Support the execution of key project commercialization activities, including RFP/RFI response coordination, the preparation of marketing materials, and pricing analysis
Work closely with other members of the Origination team and other teams, including Development, Finance, and Engineering teams to develop, design, and execute on offtake and hedge products and strategies for operational and development assets
Review and assess offtake-related documents, including PPAs, LOI/term sheets, and hedge structures with other members of the Origination team
Independently work closely with other stakeholders and teams to proactively identify business needs and develop strategies to address them
Play a key role monitoring regulatory and market developments, including ISO/RTO tariff and rule changes, RFP and other procurement outcomes, and other critical market intelligence to inform origination strategies, structuring, and other key business activities
Assist the Vice President, Origination and other executives in developing offtake and other commercial strategies, including revenue forecasts, scenario analysis, and financial modelling
Research, develop, and produce presentations, analyses, and other work product providing key insights and information to Treaty Oak’s Board, shareholder, and other senior stakeholders within and without the business
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, including engineering, computer science, finance, or economics
Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, finance, energy economics, electrical engineering) strongly preferred
At least 3 years of experience in roles with focuses on energy finance, corporate development, structured product origination, sales and trading, and asset optimization, quantitative analysis, deregulated power markets, and/or financial modelling required
Extremely strong familiarity with and skills in MS Office suite (specifically Excel and PowerPoint) with particular emphasis on financial modelling and creation of presentations aimed at senior executives a must
Experience with programming languages for statistical analysis (e.g., Python, R) and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred
Familiarity with federal, state, and regional laws and regulations governing renewable energy generation, transmission, and siting a plus
Direct experience in certain organized markets (i.e., ERCOT, MISO, SPP) preferred
Grasp of renewable energy offtake structures, terms, and interaction with project finance, development, and asset operations a plus
Strong project management and problem-solving skills a must
