Role Overview
- Manage and oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, including salary, hourly, and contract employees.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of all payroll data, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Review and verify timecards, employee records, and other payroll-related documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related inquiries, including pay discrepancies, deductions, and tax information.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll laws, tax regulations, and industry standards.
- Monitor preparation and filing of all required reports, including tax filings, wage reports, and year-end documentation.
- Supervise and support the payroll team to ensure efficient processing and high-quality customer service.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, increase efficiency, and reduce errors.
- Lead the migration process by working closely with external vendors, IT, and internal stakeholders to ensure a successful transition to the new payroll system.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role in the home healthcare or related industry.
- Prior experience with payroll system migrations, including working with external vendors and IT teams to implement new systems.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing.
- Proficiency with payroll software and MS Office Suite; experience with UKG or similar systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees and teams across multiple locations and states.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
**Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and integration with payroll platforms.
- Experience with automation and process improvements within payroll operations.
