Translate complex scientific and technical concepts into clear, concise documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with customers to translate functional requirements into detailed technical specifications.
Support engineering teams by developing documentation for system components, engineering artifacts, and technical deliverables.
Prepare, review, revise, and maintain software engineering, systems engineering, operations, testing, and user documentation.
Develop developer-focused documentation while collaborating directly with software development teams.
Utilize documentation tools to develop templates and generate documentation in multiple output formats.
Serve as the primary liaison to the government for technical documentation activities, contract coordination, and task execution.
Provide leadership for technical writing efforts across the program and oversee documentation produced by technical writing staff.
Ensure technical documentation is accurate, consistent, and delivered within established deadlines.
Apply knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Intelligence Community Information Technology Enterprise (IC ITE), Risk Management Framework (RMF), and program terminology throughout documentation efforts.
Requirements
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a technical writing or lead technical writing role.
Ability to distill complex technical information into clear, concise documentation.
Excellent writing, editing, and grammar skills with the ability to deliver accurate documentation under tight deadlines.
Proven experience designing and developing developer-oriented documentation while working directly with software development teams.
Experience using multiple documentation tools to develop templates and produce documentation in various output formats.
Thorough understanding of software development, the Risk Management Framework (RMF), and related technical terminology.
