About this role
Role Overview
You play a key role in shaping projects with industrial partners from acquisition through planning to execution (e.g., in production and process planning, prototyping, and strategy development in the field of e‑mobility).
Within research projects you investigate exciting questions on "battery production", especially innovative process technology development for current and next‑generation batteries.
Within research projects you investigate challenging issues in the areas of "battery components" and "Re‑X" (re‑use, repair, remanufacturing, and recycling of batteries).
You investigate research questions on "battery development and safety" as well as "innovative battery technologies and future product architectures".
You develop prototypes and new monitoring, manufacturing, and testing methods within research and industry projects.
You supervise students on their theses and teach courses.
You will receive early budget and leadership responsibility and can independently shape your own topics.
Requirements
You hold a completed university degree (Master's or equivalent) in a technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering).
Ideally, you have already gained some practical experience in consulting, development, production, or e‑mobility.
You are committed to developing new topics and taking advantage of opportunities to shape your work.
You work in a structured and reliable manner, think creatively and pragmatically, and are curious and motivated to continually learn new things.
You are highly willing to travel and are flexible.
You speak and write fluent German and English.
