Work closely with other members of the operations team as well as underwriters, IT and other stakeholders
Develop and onboard new operational processes and efficiencies
Represent underwriters’ interests when working on projects
Ensure efficiency and best practice is aligned and implemented across the function
Documenting and creating operational process flows for various teams
Generating ideas and strategies for technology, people and process improvements
Presenting solutions to the Underwriting Operations Specialist Manager
Report writing and business case development
Working with underwriters to understand their challenges and generating solutions
Working with compliance and products teams to understand new requirements
Requirements
Strong understanding of the insurance industry and end-to-end policy lifecycle
Experience as an underwriter or broker or in insurance operations
Strong time management skills
Ability to multi-task and handle numerous projects at once of varying sizes and complexities
Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills
Ability to set and meet deadlines
