Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations relating to specific portion of the product for guidance of production workers
Plans detail operations from blueprints, engineering orders, change notices, and other engineering releases
Determines the need for tooling and makes recommendations for the design and planning of required tools
Prepares shop work orders for materials and product processing and coordinates with schedulers to ensure that items are being processed according to specifications and time requirements
Maintains progress reports, schedules, and other related records
Requirements
Associate's Degree and 1 years of relevant experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Associate's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: NNS Apprentice School graduate, Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
Certifying compartment NDT completion utilizing the 3 Card (NN1641-3) process
Updating and tracking 3 Card progress in SAP structural weld data base for Trade’s accountability
Working knowledge of CVN Ship lay-out, Construction and Nomenclature
Able to read and interpret CVN structural drawings and general notes
Proficient in using SAP, (TcVis) Software and/or other drawing design programs and Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access)
