About this role
Role Overview
- Help city teams produce smart and compelling editorial content for their podcast and newsletter, and social media accounts
- Find compelling and timely pitches for the daily podcast, social, and newsletter content
- Write the daily newsletter on assigned days with voice, humor, clarity, and relevance
- Prep for podcast conversations with the host and Executive Producer
- Edit episodes using Descript
- Produce ads to be included in podcast episodes
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience creating and/or editing editorial content
- Experience working in a deadline-driven editorial environment
- Excellent writing skills with a clear, engaging voice
- Experience with Descript or the willingness to learn
- Highly organized, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience making and editing videos for social is a plus
- Required: To be considered for this role, you must be located and authorized to work within the United States.

- This is a contract (1099) position with flexible hours
- Compensation will be based on an hourly rate
