Responsible for providing Engineering Field Services as well as performing Engineering Design and Analysis under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer
Performs equipment, control system, communications, troubleshooting, relay testing, start-up, and commissioning services
Provides onsite construction support and supervision; attends construction meetings, assist with construction RFIs, questions, and design updates
Prepares field testing, troubleshooting, investigation, and construction progress reports
Prepares a variety of documents and reports associated with projects including cost estimates, budget reports, and studies
Programs, wires, and installs protective relaying and control systems
Perform detailed design of all aspects of Electric Power Systems to include one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control and relaying schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, conduit and cable sizing/routing, grounding design, writing of equipment specifications, project and construction cost estimates, and project scheduling
Reviews the work of Designers, Drafters, and Field Service Personnel for general quality and accuracy, as required
Requirements
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, Electric Power option preferred
2+ years of Engineering and relevant field experience
FE, PE is a plus, but not required
Proficiency with AutoCAD and power system software such as EasyPower, ETAP or SKM
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and other computer software
Experience with Omicron test equipment preferred
A strong command of the English language
