Role Overview
Lead the Accounting department (10 headcount)
Operational and disciplinary leadership of the accounting team (general ledger and sub-ledgers)
Set and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Prepare and support the harmonization and further development of monthly and quarterly financial statements under HGB and IFRS, including balance sheet, P&L and cash flow statement
Responsible for the timely preparation of annual financial statements under HGB and IFRS
Close collaboration with other departments
Further develop and optimize the relevant accounting systems and processes
Point of contact for auditors and tax advisors
Requirements
Degree in Business Administration / Finance or a comparable qualification, including further training with a focus on accounting
Strong closing expertise under HGB and IFRS and several years of professional experience in accounting
Experience in leading and developing employees
Good command of English (minimum B2), both written and spoken
Interest in and/or experience with process optimization and change management
High level of responsibility, conceptual thinking and service orientation
Ideally experience with SAP R/3 and/or SAP S/4HANA
