Role Overview
- Handle losses and claims for property and casualty insurers
- Examine insurance policies and other records to determine insurance coverage
- Interview and correspond with claimants and witnesses regarding claims
- Inspect property damage and determine extent of company's liability
- Estimate cost of repair, replacement, or compensation
- Prepare report of findings and negotiate settlement with claimant
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years experience
- Proven adjusting, negotiating skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Advanced computer skills including office, outlook and web-based applications
- Enrolled in CIP program
