About this role
Role Overview
- 1-on-1 counseling with applicants to build their extra-curricular profiles and applications
- Meet remotely with students
- Edit essays and provide feedback to foster students’ independent writing skills
- Provide comprehensive support to students as they prepare their applications
- Generate creative and practical professional experience and projects for students’ extracurricular activities
- Collaborate with a team of up to three counselors and a Senior Counselor Mentor to support each student’s progress
- Maintain a caseload of anywhere from 0-15 students, depending on your availability.
Requirements
- Phenomenal writing skills
- Experience working with students
- A Bachelor's Degree from a US college/university
- Bonus if: Masters and/or PhD, in progress or in hand
- Teaching experience working with high school, college, or graduate students
- Admissions experience.
