Provide laboratory service and support to Operations and Development labs
Perform equipment installations, qualifications, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory automation systems
Ensure instrument uptime by resolving service requests in a timely manner
Perform routine troubleshooting of automation systems
Identify repeat issues and performing root cause analysis
Maintain accurate service documentation
Monitor instrument performance metrics and help drive improvements
Author and revise SOPs, checklists, and service documentation
Provide tier 1 support to laboratory end-users
Assist in temperature monitoring via a temperature monitoring system
Drive continuous improvement projects
Provide training and guidance to junior Automation Service Engineers
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support
Requirements
BS degree in engineering or scientific discipline, or equivalent
3–5+ years of relevant service/support experience
Minimum of 3 years of laboratory equipment support experience
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
Experience supporting Hamilton liquid handlers, Qiagen QiaSymphony, Agilent TapeStation, Illumina sequencers, and other laboratory equipment used within a sequencing workflow
Experience authoring and executing PM, IQ, OQ, PQ, and repair documentation
