Role Overview
Lead engineering efforts for the design, modification, and optimization of midstream natural gas infrastructure including compressor stations, dehydration systems, and metering facilities.
Provide technical expertise on gas compression, and processing systems, including facility layout, equipment sizing, and specification.
Develop and review engineering designs, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams (PFDs) in compliance with company standards and regulatory codes (DOT, PHMSA, ASME, API, etc.).
Generate and evaluate project scopes, cost estimates and project schedules for new installations, expansions, and facility upgrades.
Support construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting of midstream facilities in collaboration with Operations, Construction, and EHS teams.
Create operational documentation and provide technical training to field and operations personnel.
Maintain consistency and compliance in midstream engineering practices with federal and state regulations and company procedures.
Coordinate with third-party vendors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure timely and effective project execution.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering (or a related engineering field).
Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience, preferably in midstream or natural gas systems.
Valid driver’s license.
Understanding of gas pipeline design, compression, dehydration, and metering systems.
Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API, PHMSA, NACE, DOT).
Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and process engineering principles.
Proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel up to 20% and work a flexible schedule including weekends/holidays as needed.
