Performs and documents assessment of the patient/family (biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, spiritual and environmental)
Collects and analyzes data from the medical record to coordinate patient care
Directs and/or provides patient care, which may include administering medication, performing procedures, and monitoring patient status
Provides counsel and education to patients/family regarding disease process and symptom management
Maintains medical records requiring timely recording of patient information
Consults with members of the health care team, adjusting nursing care processes as indicated
Demonstrates cost-effective work habits by setting priorities and managing supplies
Assists health care provider with examinations, procedures, prescription refills
Participates in quality improvement activities to ensure appropriate clinical outcome
Performs other duties as outlined in specialty-specific job responsibilities
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Completion of National Specialty Certification relevant to the area where working, if applicable
Current Missouri RN licensure in accordance with Compact Act
Basic Life Support certification
Advanced clinical skills (e.g., PALS, ACLS, IV Certification, Bone Marrow Biopsy)
Clinical Specialty (2 Years)
No driver's license is required for this position
