Role Overview
- Manage and handle assigned claims while adhering to the company’s quality standards
- Conduct thorough investigations and determine coverage and claim validity
- Inspect affected sites and engage external vendors as required
- Provide recommendations regarding reserves and prepare reports
- Negotiate settlements within delegated authority limits
- Participate in mediations and arbitrations as needed
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with company standards and procedures
- Assist with receivable collections for assigned claims
- Take part in local branch marketing efforts
- Develop new business opportunities
Requirements
- Postsecondary education
- Obtained or working toward a PAA designation
- License or ability to obtain a provisional license
- Valid driver’s license
- Demonstrated claims adjusting and negotiation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and computer literacy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Ability to navigate and work within client-required ancillary systems
- Ability to work effectively in a remote or home-based environment
- Ability to meet or exceed expected performance levels
