About this role
Role Overview
- Actively support the department in providing a customer focused, cost efficient claims handling service
- Handle and investigate all claims within limit of authority
- Contribute to ensuring the Department’s Key Performance Targets are met
- Promote compliance with best practice for claims assessment/handling
- Support the Claims Manager and claims team on an ongoing basis
- Proactively identify and review suspect/fraudulent claims
- Foster good relationships with internal and external customers
Requirements
- Proven experience in insurance or legal based environment
- Good understanding of end to end claims procedures
- Knowledge using claims systems (including MOJ)
- Detailed working knowledge of legal and regulatory environment
- Self-motivated and proactive team member
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
