About this role
Role Overview
Analyze the nature of projects to identify needs and objectives
Assess desired functions and behaviors to optimize the user experience
Develop site structure and define the information architecture (ergonomics, navigation, interactions, transitions, etc.)
Create storyboards and organize information
Evaluate platform-specific technical constraints and identify tailored solutions
Lead presentation stages using comprehensive mock-ups supported by clear rationale
Serve as a guide and advisor, recommending solutions that reflect analysis, needs and constraints
Design user tests to validate design hypotheses and coordinate research activities with the User Experience Research team
Actively participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions
Be flexible and adaptable in finding solutions and resolving issues that arise
Define and guide visual interfaces (style guides, color palettes, typography, visual identity, layouts, data visualizations)
Propose simple, consistent terminology for labels and headings to support user experience storytelling
Communicate intended behaviors clearly and precisely, both verbally and in writing, through functional analysis
Organize files and folders optimally so they are easily understood by all project contributors
Oversee quality control in all phases prior to launch and throughout the project lifecycle
Adhere to deadlines and production milestones that affect cross-functional teams
Produce feasibility and effort estimates
Conduct periodic, systematic research and market intelligence as needed to identify new web trends and best practices (accessibility, SEO, ecodesign, etc.)
Continuously stay current with the latest technological innovations (data security, AI, etc.) and new tools on the market
Perform, as needed, all or part of the duties of another classification within an equivalent or lower salary group, as well as other related duties.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, multimedia design, interface design or a related field (or equivalent experience)
At least three years’ experience in a similar role within a multiplatform digital environment
Excellent knowledge of web and app UX design
Strong UI design skills
Proficiency with Figma, Abstract, Miro and the Adobe Creative Suite
Knowledge of digital accessibility, SEO and ecodesign is an asset
Familiarity with HTML and the iOS and Android app environments and their technical specifications is an asset
Experience applying AI in workplace scenarios is an asset
Good understanding of the media landscape, especially in a digital context
Proficiency in spoken and written English is an asset.
