Perform detailed admiralty claims investigation and analysis through examination of the loss
Document where and how injuries/damage occurred and understanding the nature and type of injuries or damage
Conduct onsite, photographic and inspection of documents provided to assess the cause of loss
Interview involved parties and document written and/or recorded statements
Generate detailed reports communicating with internal adjusters and outside clients
Run and interpret formal background checks related to claims
Handle medical claims from beginning to end and conduct detailed evaluations of long-term medical needs

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
Private investigator license preferred (40-hour course)
4+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Extensive knowledge of complex marine inspection and failure
Ability to read and interpret insurance policies
PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
Strong organizational skills
Proven management/leadership skills
Excellent negotiating skills
